The City of Englewood's "Flow It Forward" is dedicated to improving infrastructure by updating and maintaining strong water systems. To implement these improvements, City Council is increasing rates in 2021.
The increase in rates will be implemented in multiple parts. The first is a monthly capital investment fee. This fee is dedicated to funding water systems replacement and upgrades. A $15 increase to citizen’s water bill is being proposed. In addition to the capital investment fee, water rates will be increased by 4% and sewer rates will be increased by 4.5%. The new rates will be effective April 1, 2021.
The City of Englewood will be implementing a Customer Assistance Program (CAP) for those experiencing financial hardship or who are on fixed incomes to cope with the rising costs. More information about the program will be coming soon from the City of Englewood.
