Valley Sanitation District is a Title 32 local government that is committed to providing wastewater collection to its 2,250 residents in the district’s boundaries, which includes portions of Littleton, Englewood, Sheridan, and the City & County of Denver. The district has an unexpected vacancy on the board of directors and is soliciting interest in that position from those it serves. Applicants must own property or rent property within the district’s boundaries and be a registered voter (this is a state requirement). Time commitments include 1-hour long board meetings on the third Wednesday of each month plus a review of the meeting materials. Helpful experience would include a knowledge of local government functions, financial statements, and strategic/capital planning.
