The district welcomed Emmanuel “Manny” Martinez to the operations staff on February 28. As a water distribution and wastewater collection system operator, he is one of the District faces you will see working in the field and responding to customer service requests.
Manny’s duties include performing routine water maintenance such as exercising and inspecting valves; inspecting, flushing, and painting fire hydrants; and performing pressure monitoring and leak detection.
Manny also facilitates maintenance to the district's sewer infrastructure by performing CCTV (closed circuit television inspections), hydraulic cleaning, and root treatment/cutting in district owned mains.
As a district operator, Manny is also responsible for performing maintenance to the district's pump and lift stations as well as responding to emergency situations like a water main failure or main line sewer back up. He is currently working to obtain his water and wastewater operator certifications.
Before working at the district, Manny was a Sales Manager at Turf Pros Solution, LLC in Denver. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his son and family, and spending time outdoors and attending sporting events.
