Current District Operations

The District is now following the more relaxed mask requirements from the State of Colorado per Executive Order D 2021 103 which allows our staff to operate mask-free with some exceptions.

While working in the field, our operators are no longer required to wear masks. We ask that if you do approach one of our operators in the field that you please wear a mask. The district is again allowing operators to enter homes for necessary service requests.

FOGS create clogs!

Fats, Oils, and Grease (FOG) can clog your pipes and cause sewer backups.

Sewer overflows and backups can cause health hazards, damage home interiors, and threaten the environment. Never pour grease down sink drains! Grease is found in such items as meat fats, lard, cooking oil, butter, and dairy products. Pipes blocked by grease is an increasing cause of sewer overflows. Too often, grease is washed into the plumbing system, usually through the kitchen sink. Grease sticks to the insides of sewer pipes (both on your property and in the streets).

Keep Wipes Out of the Pipes!

Flushing wipes and other products can clog your home plumbing, causing sewage backups into your home and expensive repairs to unclog your pipes.

Between April 12 and April 25, volunteers can join SPR and the cities of Littleton and Englewood from their own community by collecting debris and trash from their neighborhoods, local rivers, lakes, or parks.

This year, SPR is encouraging a DIY (do-it-yourself) approach and is expanding its focus to include the South Platte River and any parks, lakes, or other areas in our community that need revitalizing!
